The ever-increasing popularity of lithium-ion, Tesla, Rivian, and other batteries has exposed many businesses to significant risks of HAZMAT contamination in the form of heavy metal runoff, furans/dioxins/PCBs, battery fires, beryllium contamination, chemical fire “offgas,” PFAS (“Forever Chemicals”), deadly hydrogen fluoride gas and corrosive chemical discharge. The first step is battery fire testing, which the industry usually does incorrectly. “Industrial hygenists” and restoration guys who usually do indoor testing know very little about HAZMAT. We will test for residues of deadly hydrogen fluoride gas, lithium, cobalt, and other metal byproducts that indicate the overall health risks and remediation requirements that we can help you with for insurance.

While we happily work with and respect many Hygienists, most clients do not realize that hygienists widely profit off of victims’ vulnerable positions, charging often 2-6x the genuine value of their services, doing up to tens of thousands of dollars in unnecessary or irrelevant testing, terrifying homeowners with “urgent” remediation, putting their homes and insurance in “red-tag” situations from which they can’t escape. Do NOT rely on Hygienists: they have little to no training in HAZMAT and have no licenses or legal ability to actually remediate.
