Serving California, Federal/State/Military/Tribal, and Palisades/Eaton/Malibu Fire Zones
We are Southern California MBE/DBE General Engineering contractors licensed for work in all hazardous environments in both a commercial and residential setting. We are the ONLY company licensed for all comprehensive solutions for all HAZMAT, Biohazard, labor, and transport services at all levels, be it Public Works, Federal/Tribal, police/DEA, commercial or residential.
“Sandblasting” is an effective solution to remove buildup of contamination on various surfaces, including mold, rust, heavy metals, hexavalent chromium, lead. It has also become a more drastic solution to decontaminate biohazard buildups on floors and walls, especially blood, feces, and decomposed flesh and body fluid. We tackle all of these contaminants, not to mention buildup of rodent and pest feces and hantavirus.
However, while other contractors take the easy and reckless route with Sandblasting, we have the capital, expertise, and knowledge of chemistry and HAZMAT to know that sandblasting will 1) make a mess of your property; 2) only spread the contaminants around and expose you to health and safety risks, not to mention liability hazards; 3) will erode the underlying surfaces when we leave, thus creating long-term problems for you.
This is why Mayfield offers Bead/Soda/Dry Ice Blasting options, especially to tackle mold, heavy metals, and blood stains (after the material has been disinfected with antimicrobials, Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation, and Ozone gas.
Bead Blasting uses glass filaments to gently abrade a surface. Instead of using coarse sand to damage the surface and blow silica all over — an inhalation hazard! — this will contaminants without creating damage and with minimal airborne dispersal. Soda blasting uses baking soda for an even more gentle approach. Even more precise, gentle, but expensive is Dry Ice blasting, which uses solidified carbon dioxide to use pressure itself to chemically LIFT contaminants from the surface. When it’s done, it disappears.
Do not rely on Restoration guys. You’re dealing with HAZMAT. Most are not even contractors. All our men are 40-hour HAZWOPER certified, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen trained (29 CFR 1910.1030/Biosafety Level1-2-3 (Hantavirus, HIV/AIDS, etc.)), Hazard Communication trained, and more. We are certified Bacterial/Viral Disinfection Specialists through National Institute of Decontamination Specialists (NAIDS), certified for Meth Lab Decontamination, Hoarding Restoration, & Crime Scene/Death Cleanups through Amdecon/TexasA&M and again through NAIDS, and also a certified Biohazard company membership of the American Bio-Recovery Association (ABRA). With California’s rare Hazardous Substance Removal License (#833333) for engineers, we can handle whatever toxic environments necessary to get the job done safely and effectively. We are licensed Trauma Waste Transporters (#835) through California Dept of Public Health and licensed Medical Waste Transporters (#7097) through CDPH. Certified Ozone/Hydroxyl Disinfection Remediators, BOI Environmental, 2024-. License #70176445/48785.
