We are West Coast MBE/DBE General Engineering contractors licensed for all services related to land clearing, wildfire mitigation, and fire debris-related work at all levels, be it Public Works, Federal/Tribal, police/DEA, commercial or residential.
We were among the first contractors on the ground for the Pacific Palisades/Eaton Fire disaster cleanups and fire debris removal. We were the very first to provide EPA Phase 1 Clearance equivalency for permitted HAZMAT clearance, Asbestos cleanups, and certified HAZMAT disposal. We were the chief environmental samplers for Eaton Canyon after the 2025 Eaton Fire disaster. We also do post-fire remediation to further decontaminate properties for safe rebuild.
Among our many services, we specialize in brush fire prevention, wildfire mitigation, fuel control, fireproofing, forestry services, and carcinogen mitigation. Our land clearing services include a combination of weed abatement, tractor mowing, disking, arborist reporting and tree care, stump grinding, tree mastication, tree trimming, landscaping, stormwater management, hillside reinforcement/stabilization, erosion protection, terracing and rough grading, hydroseeding, and trenching. This includes the construction of crib walls, retaining walls, dykes, trenches, gabions, and Green Infrastructure (GSI) and Wetlands/Watershed protection options like straw wattle, envirosox, sand bags, coconut matting, and more. We can also help with long-term fireproofing, including using environmentally-responsible fire suppression sprays like CitroSafe to protect your house and landscapes from future disasters.
Unlike our landscaping competitors who focus on weedwacking and itinerant labor, Mayfield has the HAZMAT licensing, stormwater management licenses, and fire science and chemistry expertise to implement the more comprehensive solution to California’s ongoing wildfire disasters. And unlike our competitors, all our laborers are OSHA HAZWOPER-certified and trained and fit-tested for respiratory protection to work in acutely toxic burn zones filled with heavy metals, ash, and lead.
In addition to our C-27 Landscape Architect license and C-49 Tree/Palm Contractor license, and the fact that we are the ONLY company with all erosion protection/hillside reinforcement/stormwater certifications to boot, we also have Licensed Timber Operators (LTOs) for heavy forestry management and land clearing. This sets us aside as the your only one-stop shop for all land management services.
We have Qualified Applicator License/QAL-certified teams on staff for Pest Control/Integrated Pest Management through the California Dept of Agriculture/County Agricultural Commissioner with a variety of sub-classifications for comprehensive management of sensitive environments and watersheds (QAL classifications: Aquatics, Right-of-Way, Forestry, Health). Our Certified Arborists are experts in bark beetles, borers, oak moths, Sudden Oak Death Syndrome (SODS), invasive species, and more for biological studies and more.
