Mayfield Environmental Solutions are experts in the safe and compliant remediation of Treated Wood Waste (TWW) and creosote chemical contamination.
We have a wider range of licenses than any contractor in the state, giving us authority over any HAZMAT, environmental, biohazard, or remediation project whether it is Federal, Public Works, military, Tribal, residential, or commercial. This makes us your ideal consultants and bidding partners for any safe job.
This includes providing expert consults by HAZMAT Engineers who can better guide you on the health and safety impacts of these toxins; sample the water, air, and surfaces for the extent and presence of these toxins such as toxic Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH); and help plan proper decontamination and remediation of your property or business. We will also help with all necessary documentation for legal compliance, insurance claims, tenant-landlord disputes, provide Subject Matter Experts for HAZMAT consulting in lawsuits, and more.
Mayfield outmuscles its competitors in this remediation because most of them are “environmental companies” who are not even licensed to work with HAZMAT! Whereas our competitors typically provide recent college grads with little to no knowledge of construction, engineering, business, or HAZMAT, Mayfield staff provides engineers and experts in chemistry, respiratory health, soil and water contamination hazards, legal and Water Board compliance, and more. All our staff are HAZWOPER-certified with confined space training and respirator fit-tested.
Treated Wood Waste (TWW) includes any disabled or relocated telephone poles, posts, or power lines that may contain Creosote, arsenic, heavy metals, and other chemicals. Under California environmental laws, these woods cannot legally be transported to standard city landfills and require special licensed transportation to permitted facilities. It is a common combustion byproduct in the aftermath of our wildfire disaster work, where old “railroad ties” and crossbeams burn and leach chemicals downgrade or deep into soil. It is an obscure and unusual test, which means most homeowners often do not know it is present in the aftermath of a fire until they report respiratory illness or headaches.
